Official BEA Laser Scanner Distributor

We are excited to announce we are now an official BEA distributor, adding their unique laser safety scanners to our portfolio.

We proudly stock the LZR-i100, i110, and H100 laser scanners, which are ideal non-contact sensing solutions in vertical and horizontal positions.

The BEA LZR-i100 / LZR-i110 safety sensors:

Designed to be installed alongside an electric gate or barrier, they work to detect all types of vehicles or pedestrians offering pulse and presence safety. Capable of covering a detection field of either 5m x 5m (LZR – i110) or 9.9m x 9.9 (LZR – i100), they are easy to adjust and install, thanks to 3 visible laser beams. The LZR-i100 / i110 delivers a precise, non-contact safety solution for your installation.

The BEA LZR-H100 safety sensor:

An impressive alternative to traditional induction loops. With fast installation and no groundworks required, it offers great flexibility. Designed for use with rising barriers, the LZR-H100 incorporates laser sensors to detect all types of vehicles and are used to open, secure and/or detect a presence. The width and depth of the detection field can be set very flexibly (max. Detection field of 9.9 m x 9.9 m).

Understanding our ‘Password’ Symbol

With security at the forefront of end users’ minds and a driving force behind most new electric gate installs, ensuring our products guarantee the highest level of security is a priority.

The ‘Password’ symbol was created specifically to represent our control panels that allow for a unique protection code to be added.

This additional function allows the installer the option to set a unique four-digit security code, which then works to lock the control unit programming, preventing unwanted access to the menus and blocking any future modifications to the settings and parameters.

Once the protection code has been set, this should be stored safely and only shared with the necessary contacts for scheduled maintenance.

If you would like more detail on how to add a protection code, you can find the simple instructions here.

For more details around our range of control panels, please click here or please do call our friendly team on 01488 658 276 and they will happily answer any questions.

Say hello to Alex…

We are thrilled to have recently welcomed Alex to the team, joining us in an apprenticeship role. Alex will be based in the office and supporting the team with order processing and administration. As Alex continues to learn the sales process and customer service as part of his role, he will also be mentored by our sales team and start to build relationships with our ever-expanding customer base.

General Manager Jamie Berry said “We are so pleased to be able to offer another apprenticeship position and support local young workers in building career paths. Alex is an impressive young man, mature beyond his years and I’m thankful for the help he has already provided internally in what has been an incredibly busy period for the company.”

In his spare time, Alex enjoys playing both rugby and football at the weekends and keeps fit going to the gym throughout the week.

When asked if he has settled into his new role, Alex confirmed “I am loving it at Benincà, everyone’s lovely and have given me such a warm welcome” we are delighted to have you on board!

Beninca UK wins ‘Small Employer of the Year’

And the ‘Small Employer of the Year’ award goes to… Benincà UK!

We are so excited to share that we have won ‘Small Employer of the Year’ in the West Berkshire Training Consortiums, Rising Stars Awards 2021. After years of supporting their apprenticeship scheme and onboarding four apprentices here at Benincà UK, we are delighted to be recognised for our commitment and support.

The Rising Stars Awards is an annual event and sets out to celebrate the very best local employers, learners, mentors, and apprentices in the West Berkshire area. To be selected as a finalist was fantastic, but to officially win the award is an absolute honour.

We would like to say a huge well done to all the other finalists and winners. To find out all the Rising stars winners for 2021, you can watch the awards video below:

WBTC 2021 Rising Star Awards – FINALIST

We are over the moon to have been shortlisted by the West Berkshire Training Consortium for ‘Small Employer of the Year’ in their Rising Star Awards 2021.

To be selected as a finalist is an honour and shows recognition for the support, we have given to the apprenticeship programme over the years. Here at Benincà UK we are really passionate about helping apprentices into the workplace and to date have bought on four apprentices via the scheme.

Our first apprentice has since relocated and moved onto another role; however, we have three individuals that make up our current team, that all originally joined us via the programme. Our most recent apprenticeSam Weedon is supporting our sales team and is already excellingAlong with Ben Smith who has worked as part of our Warehouse team for nearly 7 years and Meg Sudlowwho is now in a hybrid role covering Finance and Marketing.

It has been fantastic to watch each apprentice learn and grow into their individual roles, becoming an asset to the Benincà UK team.

We managed to catch up Meg, Ben, and Sam, and they kindly shared their views on the apprentice scheme and what it means to them:

Meg Sudlow, Admin & Marketing Assistant

Benincà really helped me through my apprenticeship course. They gave me a good mentor who taught me different processes and supported me with my college work. Nadia, Finance Controller here at Beninca and my dedicated mentor was very understanding and helped me develop numerous skills such as taking my initiative, research skills and time management. I’ve also learnt skills like communication, teamwork, and, perhaps the biggest one, confidence from the company as a whole.

As an employer, Beninca take very good care of their employees, helping them in their career paths. It’s really a pleasure to work here every day.”

Ben Smith, Warehouse Operative

“The West Berkshire Training Consortium were a massive help to 16-year-old me, who didn’t have a clue what to do with my life. Nearly 7 years on and I wouldn’t change a thing! I am proud to work at Benincà and extremely happy to be part of such a great team. I love working in the warehouse, as I have such a busy and varied role, no two days are the same, but that’s what I love the most.”

Sam Weedon, Sales Administrator

I have settled into my role very quickly at Beninca and have been supported since the day I joined. The friendly atmosphere makes it easy to learn, as there is always someone on hand when I need to ask a question or help with something particularly technical.

Our trade counter is re-opening!

Following the Governments roadmap out of lockdown and guidance, we are thrilled to announce that our trade counter will be re-opening as of Monday 17th May 2021. We are really excited to safely welcome you back!

Our trade counter not only allows customers the option to pick up goods in person but also provides you with the opportunity to pop by and speak with a member of our team over a coffee. We would like to encourage customers to call in advance on 01488 658276 and notify the team when you are planning to drop by. This will allow us to keep numbers to a minimum at any given timewhilst ensuring a member of our sales or technical team can provide dedicated support and time solely to you.

Safety Measures:

Over the last year, we have implemented several measures to ensure our building is Covid secure. This includes installing a brand-new, state of the art thermal temperature screening device within our reception area. Only once a safe reading has been confirmed via the device, can staff or approved guests gain further access into the building.

We ask that all guests please sign in upon arrival. Using a smart device, you can scan the QR code on the screen to make this contactless.

We have contactless hand sanitiser stations placed throughout the building, so staff and guests can easily access and use these. There are also numerous signs placed on the walls and floors around the buildingworking to remind everyone to keep a safe distance and wash hands regularly.

The safety of our staff and guests is our absolute priority, so all guests will be greeted by a member of the Benincà team wearing mask, and we kindly ask that all guests also wear a face covering, unless exempt. We are very fortunate that our large premises and open plan rooms will allow guests and staff to comfortably socially distance at any given time, so please ensure you adhere to social distancing at all times.

In the meantime, we are aware some customers may not be keen to rush back to face-to-face meetings or have got accustomed to working remotely and prefer it. This is a reminder we have recently launched ‘Be Connected’ to ensure no matter where you are located, you can still stay connected with the Benincà Team.  Using technology, we can easily stay in touch and deliver all our services and support remotely.
